Keep an eye out for updates over the next couple weeks. We will be having a few games it sounds like on Dec 6th with Grain Valley league for some divisions, all other divisions will start Dec 13th

We are going to move to jerseys for this season without adding to cost of registration.

For the middle school and high school girls divisions we will allow school players to sign up for the league so that they can join teams after the school season has ended. Although decisions are not final, we will probably start practices at normal dates for middle school  and high school girls but not start games until the school seasons are over. This would mean that some weekends would have double header games. 

We are really trying to put focus on increasing the girls divisions this season. If you know any girls k-12 that might be interested in playing basketball, we would appreciate if you mention it to them. Basketball is great for team building, critical thinking, competitive spirit, and good form of exercise.

The PURPOSES of the League shall be:

(A) To give Blue Springs area youth, boys and girls, grades K through 12, the opportunity to play basketball in an organized and controlled manner;

(B)   To teach the basic fundamentals and rules of basketball;

(C)   To develop a sense of belonging and team spirit;

 (D)  To develop an attitude of fair play and good sportsmanship;

(E) To teach players how to be good sports when winning and how to accept defeat, but not give up, through examples of coaches and parents;

(F) To ensure that all players who attend practices regularly are able to  play in every game;

(G) To further the knowledge of the sport of basketball in the community, through  the involvement  of  spectators. the  players’ family as coaches, cheer-leaders and spectators
